To order a gift certificate, first go to our homepage at:
Scroll down the page to the box on the left-hand side entitled
"Entdecken". Then click on the link in the left column that says
"Amazon.de Geschenkservice"; on the next page click on "Geschenkgutschein".
Or you can use the following link to connect to the gift certificates page directly: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/subst/gifts/gift-certificates/gift-certificates.html/ On the following page please select if you would like to purchase an email gift certificate "Bestellung E-mail Gutschein(e)", or an actual paper one, "Bestellung Brief-Geschenkgutschein(e)" (note: I prefer email gift: "E-mail Gutschein(e)").Then click on the link "Jetzt anmelden" to proceed to the order form.

Placing your order | |

At Step 1 you'll enter your name in the field "Von" and the
recipient's name in the field "An." At the second step, enter a
greeting of 15 to 18 words in the field "Gruss." Next, at Step 3,
designate a gift certificate amount between 5 and 500 EUR
(note: 5 € should be enough!).
If you'd like an estimate of the amount in your own currency you can
use a converter on the web, such as the one located at:
http://www.oanda.com/converter/classic At Step 4, please enter how many gift certificates you would like to purchase.Under Step 5 please enter the email address(es) of the recipient(s) (note: which is j.schmitz@web.de ). If you are placing an order for a paper gift certificate Step 5 will not show and will be replaced by Step 6. At Step 6, simply enter your email address in the field "Bitte geben Sie Ihre E-Mail Adresse ein" and enter your password in the field "Ich bin schon Kunde, und mein Passwort ist." If it is your first time ordering at Amazon, enter your email address in the field "Bitte geben Sie Ihre E-Mail Adresse ein" and then click next to "Ich bin erstmals Kunde"; you'll be asked to create a password later.

Selecting a payment method | |

We recommend that you use a credit card if you are ordering from
abroad; just click on "Kreditkarte." We accept Visa, EuroCard,
MasterCard and American Express. If you have a German bank account
and would like to pay via direct debit select "Bankeinzug."
Payment via check is in this case unfortunately not possible. Then click on the button at the bottom of the page that says "Weiter" -- this will take you to the next page of the order form. If you are placing an order for a paper gift certificate, on the following page you may specify what address the certificate should be sent to. Please click on "Weitere Adresse" to add a new address to your address book. To select an existing one please click on "An diese Adresse versenden". This will also take you to the next page. Please note, for an order of more than one paper gift certificate, at this present time, we are only able to dispatch all the gift certificates to one physical address. | |
Entering payment information | |
To enter credit card information, fill in the following:
At Step 8 enter your name if it does not already appear in the field. Then go to the bottom of the page click on the button "Weiter" to proceed to the final page of the order form. | |
Choosing a password | |

If you're a first-time customer, or created a new account, you'll also
be asked to choose a password. Enter the same password in both fields
to ensure accuracy.
Then go to the bottom of the page and click on the button that says "Weiter" to continue. | |
Completing your order | |

You're almost done! Just double-check your order -- you may need to
scroll down the page to see all the details. If something needs
correcting, click the "Back" button of your browser and return to the
appropriate field to make the correction.
If everything is correct, click on the button "Bestellung abschicken" to submit your order. You should receive an automatic confirmation via email shortly. Your email gift certificate will be sent the same day along with full instructions on redeeming it at Amazon.de. | |
